First we get the Micro Imperial Tie Fighter, and now we get a great micro Lego model of Luke Skywalker’s Land Speeder.  I didn’t think the micro Lego models could get any better than day 10, but boy was I wrong.  This build is fantastic.

For all you Lego master builders out there, take a look at this.  Elegant in its simplicity, the micro version of the Land Speeder (is it one word, or two?) has all of the major features of the original, so you have no doubt what it really is.

Using only 14 pieces, Lego has managed to perfectly resemble Luke Skywalker’s ride from his home planet Tatooine.  There are three engines in the back, a nicely rounded front, and even a clear windshield built of 1×1 sloped clear tiles. The clever use of the unique red brown color pieces on the bottom make it look like it is actually floating.

The only way to get this Micro Land Speeder is in the 2014 Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar

This is what the Official Lego website has to say about the 2014 Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar:

Spend the festive period on icy planet Hoth with the LEGO® Star Wars™ Advent Calendar! Open up a door each December day to reveal a cool Star Wars themed gift, including minifigures starships, vehicles and more. Once you have all 24 gifts, unfold the playmat and act out hilarious Hoth-based scenes that everyone in the family will love to watch. This is the perfect holiday gift for LEGO Star Wars fans from any galaxy!

The Lego Advent Calendars follow a simple principle, there are 24 different mini sets each hidden behind a numbered door inside the Lego Box.  You don’t open the box like a regular Lego Set, but instead,  the lid is hinged, and the box opens up so that the back of the lid is a printed play-space, and then there are 24 different perforated doors.

Some people like to open each of the 24 sets all at once, but I prefer to open the first set on Dec 1, the 2nd on Dec, and so forth, all the way to Christmas Eve when I open the last one.

I’ve done all the hard work for you, and found the best place to get the 2014 Lego Advent Calendar
