On Day 5 of the 2014 Lego Star Wars Advent Calender you get a Clone Wars Gun Rack.
With today’s gift, I am now 100% certain the Minifigure from day 5 is a Clone Trooper, and not a Storm Trooper. Why? Because the little guy left his helmet on the gun rack while he enjoyed a cup of egg nog.
The gun racks aren’t new to the Star Wars Advent Calendars, This one comes with a medium sized gun, and a bigger laser rifle. It would have been cool to get a printed tile to go on top of the rack, but instead it’s just a 1×2 sloped tile. There is a red clearie, though. When I was a kid we always called the translucent tiles clearies, and the red 1×2 plate was one of my favorites.

The Lego Advent Calendars follow a simple principle, there are 24 different mini sets each hidden behind a numbered door inside the Lego Box. You don’t open the box like a regular Lego Set, but instead, the lid is hinged, and the box opens up so that the back of the lid is a printed play-space, and then there are 24 different perforated doors.
Some people like to open each of the 24 sets all at once, but I prefer to open the first set on Dec 1, the 2nd on Dec, and so forth, all the way to Christmas Eve when I open the very last one.
This is what the Official Lego website has to say about the 2014 Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar:
Spend the festive period on icy planet Hoth with the LEGO® Star Wars™ Advent Calendar! Open up a door each December day to reveal a cool Star Wars themed gift, including minifigures starships, vehicles and more. Once you have all 24 gifts, unfold the playmat and act out hilarious Hoth-based scenes that everyone in the family will love to watch. This is the perfect holiday gift for LEGO Star Wars fans from any galaxy!
