Lego Minifig Series 12 – Fairytale Princess

The Fairytale Princess comes with a frog and another special surprise that I”ll tell you about in just a minute.

The purple Fairytale Princess is part of the 16 character Lego Series 12 Minifigure collection released in October of 2014 in the States.

I got mine at a Target Store for only $2.99.  The regular price is $3.99, but you can also find really good deals on Amazon.com LEGO Minifigures Series 12 – Set # 71007

She comes disassembled in a yellow poly bag, just like all the other characters, but like I mentioned has something special that no other minifig in series 12 has.

First of all she doesn’t have any legs, (but that isn’t the surprise)  She uses a purple sloped brick like the Wizard, with a purple pattern down the front.  Her torso is also purple with the same pattern, and a printed necklace, and she has a lighter purple sleeve.

Her cap is also purple but with integrated hair, brown and braided.

And she comes with a green frog.

The cool feature that the Fairytale Princess has is that she has two faces.  One looks like she is sleeping, just like sleeping beauty.  The other side has a big smile with a hint of pink lipstick.  She is the only minifig in the series to have two faces.

You can read about the history of the Series 12 Fairytale Pricness on the Lego.com website:

“My research suggests that this frog may be just the one I’m looking for!”

The Fairytale Princess is pretty sure that she has this whole fairy tale business down pat. She avoids any bridges that have the signs (and smells) of trolls living underneath, she stays away from suspicious huts made of candy in the woods, and she definitely isn’t interested in finding a prince and living happily ever after right now.

All that said, she is rather enchanted with the idea of being able to turn into a frog. Frogs can stay underwater for a really long time, and they can jump amazing distances. Think of the fun that she would have if she could do that too! That’s why she’s on a quest to find a magical frog. She’ll kiss it and then study what happens…and with any luck, she’ll be hopping off on her own adventures in no time!

What do you like about the princess?  Tell me in the comments below if you have one.
